Marco Wahl has a nice Emacs literate configuration that’s worth taking a look at for some of his ideas. What I really like, though, is his trick for making the tangled init.el
read-only to remind himself and others not to directly edit the init.el
itself. The trick is explained in this tweet from Wahl:

You can see how he does this by looking at the first line section of his configuration. He just puts that first line in its own code block at the beginning or the Org file. If you’re still in doubt, just push the Raw button to see the actual Org source.
