This is a significant milestone for a really important feature.<\/p>\n<p>Most of the comments were along the lines of \u201cI\u2019ve been using this feature for months and haven\u2019t had any problems.\u201d A few expressed concerns about some edge cases but I didn\u2019t see any show stoppers. The largest TODO appears to be documentation.<\/p>\n<p>Once it gets merged into Master, we can reasonably expect that it will officially be released with Emacs 28. Perhaps\u2014we can only hope\u2014native compilation will put an end to the \u201cEmacs is slow\u201d snark.
