Some of those people go further and use a package like <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/nex3\/perspective-el\">perspective<\/a> to provide each project with its own workspace. I don\u2019t organize my workflow that way but it\u2019s an attractive option that I occasionally consider adopting.<\/p>\n<p>Another group of people swear by packages like <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/jaypei\/emacs-neotree\">neotree<\/a> that provide a file tree off to the side of their Emacs windows. I definitely don\u2019t want to sacrifice screen real estate for that but there\u2019s a large population of users who disagree.<\/p>\n<p>Calum MacRae is in both camps and has neotree set up to track his current perspective. That works well most of the time but when he switches between two existing perspectives, neotree does not update to the new perspective. Of course, it\u2019s Emacs so MacRae <a href=\"https:\/\/medium.com\/@cmacrae\/emacs-making-neotree-work-with-perspectives-964638b5666e\">wrote a bit of Elisp to fix the problem<\/a>.
