With his code, you can search for the symbol at point or the active region if there is one. <\/p>\n<p> The first of these is easily accomplished using\u3010<kbd>Ctrl<\/kbd>+<kbd>w<\/kbd>\u3011from within <code>isearch<\/code> but that takes an extra key chord.
