If you&#8217;re in an Emacs occur buffer you can call \u3010<kbd>Meta<\/kbd>+<kbd>x<\/kbd>\u3011 <code>occur-edit-mode<\/code> and then make changes to the occur buffer that will be reflected in the original file.<\/p>\n<p>This can be particularly useful with <code>multi-occur<\/code> because you can operate on several buffers at once. When you&#8217;re done making changes call \u3010<kbd>Meta<\/kbd>+<kbd>x<\/kbd>\u3011 <code>occur-cease-edit<\/code> to post the changes.
